COVID-19 Recovery Fund for Small Businesses
The Keep It Caring, Keep It Oakland COVID-19 Recovery Fund will make 17 grants of $5,000 each to independent businesses in Oakland that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. The fund is fiscally sponsored by Social Good Fund and administered by Oakland Indie Alliance and Working Solutions.

Eligibility Requirements
Business must be based in Oakland and have an Oakland business license from 2019 or 2020 (note that a copy of the license must be uploaded with the grant application).
Owner must live in one of the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma.
Business must have been in operation prior to March 1, 2020.
Business must be open now in some capacity or planning to reopen when allowed.
Business must not have received federal COVID-19 relief funding, including forgivable loans from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or grants from the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. Businesses that received EIDL loans are eligible. Business that received grants from local public or private sources (including previous programs run by the City of Oakland) are eligible.
Applicant must have either a Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) for filing taxes.
Ineligible Businesses: Nonprofits; franchises or chains; real estate businesses; businesses with greater than 100 employees; or businesses with more than $7 million in annual gross revenue.
Priority will be given to the following:
BIPOC-owned businesses;
Women-owned businesses;
LGBTQ-owned businesses;
Businesses owned by people born and raised in Oakland; and
Oakland legacy businesses (with 10 or more years in operation).
Use of Grant Funds: If awarded, grant funds can be used to cover any business expenses related to COVID-19.
